Winter isn't over but It's not too soon to begin preparing for spring! Here are a few tips to get your garden ready for warmer weather.

Start by cleaning up any debris that may have gathered over the winter months. This will help keep your garden healthy and free of pests.

Next, prune any trees and shrubs that may have grown out of shape. This can help to promote new growth come springtime. Additionally, you should fertilize your lawn in preparation for the warmer weather.

 

Thirdly, it's important to test your soil as different plants require different types of soil. Make sure yours is suitable for the plants you plan to grow and amend as needed.

Also, don't forget to prepare any beds or containers you may be used for your garden. Make sure they are clean and free of debris before planting seeds or seedlings.

Finally, don't forget to check on any bulbs you planted in autumn! If the ground has softened enough, you can start to dig them up and pot them for safekeeping until the weather warms.

With a bit of preparation, your garden will be ready to thrive come spring!
