Building a planter box in winter may seem like an impossible task, but with the right preparation, it can be done. It's never too early to start getting ready for spring!

Planter Box

Start by preparing your materials and tools - you'll need wood, screws or nails, waterproof sealant, and whatever else you might need to build your box. It's also important that you choose a sheltered spot for building, so your planter box isn't exposed to the elements while you're working.

Next, begin construction using the plan of your planter box. Make sure everything is sealed properly and the planter box is strong enough to withstand harsh weather dependent on your location. For an extra layer of protection, coat it with a water-resistant sealant. You can buy planter boxes premade, but it's often more economical to build your own. It can also be a project for the whole family - winter months can be long, so why not make planter boxes together?!!

Finally, fill your planter box with the soil and plants of your choice. While it may seem too cold to add any plants in winter, many do well in the colder months. Consider adding a variety of evergreens (like juniper), shrubs (like rosemary or lavender), and groundcover (like moss or ivy).

When you're done, all that's left to do is relax, enjoy the sight of your planter box, and plan for a beautiful garden come springtime. With enough care, your planter box will be thriving in no time! Good luck!
