Watering your lawn might seem like a simple task, and that's because it is, but it also takes a bit more work than you might expect. You see, experts say that the optimum amount of lawn watering is about one inch per water session. In order to provide your lawn with an inch of water, it'll take just about a bit more than half a gallon per square foot. A proper, three-quarter-inch hose can actually deliver three times the water that a half-inch diameter hose can. In other words, it'll get the job done well quickly. 

Some yards are bigger than other yards. That's just a matter of fact, but it's also true that every lawn is deserving of the same love and care. Fortunately, high-quality hoses can come in a number of different lengths. You can find ones that are as short as 25-feet-long, or ones that are as long as 100-feet-long.

If you're going to invest in a decent hose, you should get years and years out of the thing, right? While cheap hoses will kink and leak after just a couple years of use, a proper one will be able to last between five and 10 years, more than enough time for you to get your money's worth out of the thing.
